I grew up in Livermore, CA and moved to Sacramento in 1990 to attend Sacramento State University. I graduated in 1994 with a Bachelor of Science in Physical Education. I have two, twenty something daughters, Genevieve and Sheridan, both working and attending college in Sacramento. I’ve been married to my wife Shelly for 16 years and live in beautiful El DoradoFacebook Ward.jpg County.

Having worked for the United States Postal Service for 28 years, as a part time Letter Carrier, supervisor and Postmaster; I have developed a strong commitment to Community and Customer Service. Understanding the value of learning from experienced leaders, I’ve joined a team of two Realtors with over 60 years of combined experience in real estate. Broker Associate Greg Francis and Realtor Jeff Lutzinger are my teammates and are a tremendous resource in the real estate industry.

At the age of four my family moved from Idaho to Santa Cruz County where my father began his career with the Santa Cruz County Department of Agriculture. Two years later we move into the first of several homes in Livermore, which my parents remodeled and then sold. Today, I’d call them flippers. My parents worked with the same real estate agent for all our homes in Livermore. As a kid watching my parents interact with Alice, I felt like she was part of our family. After each remodel Alice was there to guide my parents in the sale of our home and find the next fixer-upper to dive into. Later it was my turn to buy my first home. In 1993 I met a great real estate agent and before you know it I was a living in my first home. In 2006 that home was producing rental income for me when I moved to El Dorado.

Nine years later after we completed our solar system construction at our home in El Dorado, it was time to sell that rental. I worked with the same real estate agent that helped me buy it back in 1993. Shelly and I had done our own full remodel and taken our turn as flippers.

The experiences in my life with real estate have been very informative and extremely positive, which is likely the reason becoming a real estate agent was always a long-term goal of mine and is now a reality. The support from Shelly and my children has made the lifestyle change that includes real estate possible. The operational and administrative skills I’ve developed in my 28 years with the postal service have afforded me the ability to communicate effectively and follow through on my commitments. My role as a leader included training and developing others to accomplish the task at hand. Part of being a leader is coaching people to help them meet their goals.

Problem solving is also an aspect of my core traits. Achieving major goals is rarely easy but is attainable if the challenges encountered are met with determination and focus. Purchasing and selling your home can be, one of life’s very significant events and working with a real estate agent means you are placing a great amount of trust in that agent. If you’re ever in need of a real estate agent, I’d be honored if you would consider interviewing me for the job. I value the trust others place in me with the highest regard and I work diligently to honor that trust.
